great central spot near parks and restaurants for city strolls
I truly appreciated the vibrant area buzzing with great dining options just a short walk away and the proximity to beautiful Gifford Arboretum, perfect for a relaxing stroll through nature after a city exploration, making my weekend stay both enjoyable and easy to navigate. however, the hotel could benefit from some routine maintenance to enhance the overall experience.

The location was convenient and close to mass transit, which was a plus. However, the room was quite cold, and adjusting the thermostat didn’t help. Breakfast options were lacking, and the elevator was inconsistent, making it difficult to navigate with luggage.

Recommended for Solo Traveler
The location is fantastic, metro rail station just a stone's throw away. And there’s a mall nearby too. I encountered this pleasant staff member who was really helpful when I asked about nearby eateries, it felt like I had a personal concierge.
It wasn’t exactly inexpensive, but it was still acceptable considering the perks.

The location is a standout feature, conveniently close to the metro rail, supermarkets, and only a short distance from the beach. However, the room conditions were disappointing, with an exceptionally cold temperature, limited toiletries, and no refrigerator or coffee maker available. The breakfast options were practically nonexistent, offering only coffee. Overall, the issue of cleanliness and the outdated room facilities overshadowed the positive aspects of the stay.

I had a decent stay, but the place did have its quirks—especially the very thin sheets and a central air leak. The pool area was lovely and clean!

Had a great time with my friends! We enjoyed the spacious lobby area and the friendly multilingual staff. The location was perfect, giving us easy access to attractions like the University of Miami and shopping at Sunset Place. Keep in mind, though, there's a parking fee for guests, so budget for that. Overall, a solid stay for a group trip!
One downside was that we found some previous guest's belongings under the bed, which was a bit unsettling and indicated that the cleaning could have been better.

We had a lovely time enjoying the outdoor swimming pool and lounging on the sun terrace. The only hiccup was the air conditioning not working at first, but the maintenance team sorted it out quickly. I definitely recommend bringing some snacks for the evening since there aren't many options nearby! 🌞

The small pool provides a nice spot to cool off after a hot day, and the lobby features a charming piano, giving an intriguing atmosphere. Its proximity to the South Miami metro station makes it easy to navigate the city on a budget.
However, the whole place feels worn down. the carpet in my room reeked of must and age, adding an uncomfortable vibe. The air conditioning dripped water onto the floor, making it feel more like a swamp than a hotel room, and the lack of functionality in aspects like the lamps and the broken window frames didn’t help. There wasn't even a shower curtain in the bathroom, forcing me to make do with towels instead.

The parking fee was an unexpected extra.

I stayed at the Rodeway Inn recently and had mixed feelings about my experience. The staff really stood out for their kindness and eagerness to help. They made me feel welcome and were attentive. The air conditioning in my room worked really well, which was a huge plus given the Miami heat. Unfortunately, the hotel itself felt outdated, with a distinct smell of mildew in the air. I was in a double room with two double beds, and the bedding and floor got uncomfortably damp when I turned off the AC. Noise was another issue. my neighbors were quite loud, partying late into the night. I had to call the staff to address this, and while they did respond, it disrupted my sleep. There were also cleanliness issues, like no wash rags left in my room upon housekeeping visits. Housekeeping only made the bed and changed towels. Overall, the experience was far from pleasant, but I appreciated the staff's efforts.

Poor amenities and breakfast options.

I had a very pleasant stay at Rodeway. The staff was professional, and the business center was a great asset for my work needs. I appreciated the quiet environment, which allowed me to focus on my projects, and the location was convenient for my appointments in the area.
Only coffee was served in the morning, and some amenities were not as advertised.

Comfortable Stay with Friendly Staff
During my 1-night stay, I found the room to be quiet and comfortable, which was exactly what I needed. The staff were friendly and patient, providing helpful assistance both on the phone and in person. However, I think the hotel could use some updates in terms of decor and amenities.

It was just a great match for a cursory stop in Miami with best value for money ratio. The free breakfast was pretty basic—just air bread and canned fruit cocktail—but it did the job. Just be prepared for some potential plumbing issues and keep an eye on your belongings.
